A day in the life...

So just a funny story to share!

We decided to have steak on the "Q" last night, I bought some mushrooms to saute up to have with the steaks, so as the BBQ was heating up, Chuck decided to "warm up" the pan that the mushrooms were going in....Not sure how it happened exactly, but he wanted some red wine to saute them in, so I got a bottle opened it & poured me some, I turned around hearing a loud sizzle/splat....there was RED WINE EVERY WHERE!! When I say everywhere I mean ALL over my real hardwood floor that cannot have cleaner put on it without runing it, all over my kitchen island & stove, it even flew across my kitchen & got my cubbords, dishwasher oh yeah it was all over Chuck too...so we cleaned it up quickly off the floor before it stained it, cleaned everything else up ate dinner...I ran to Target had to get a few things came home (it was close to 9pm by this time) Grace came down because she heard me...so wrangled her back up to bed...as Chuck walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water I hear "OH SHIT" I said What?? As he is staring up at our kitchen ceiling which has red wine polka dots ALL OVER it...Oh good lord get me the ladder I said, he said you aren't climbing up there to clean that...I said get me the ladder...so he did, I got out my Mr. Clean magic eraser, I swear by thoes things...well of course it's on it's last leg, so off to Safeway I go to buy a new package (deep down pissed because I just got home from Target!!)....get home start cleaning it, it is amazingly coming off...but my Mr. Clean magic eraser, is fading by each scrub...I do NOT wish to trek back to Safeway or anywhere else it's going on 10pm now, so I hop on the laptop, hoping for a miricle when I go Google "How do I remove red wine from a white wall" sure there will be no answer worth trying, I see use white toothpaste, well I didn't have any of that ( For the record I have toothpaste, I use the gel), I see use bleach, well I have that, but don't want it all over my newly finished hardwood floor, nor do I want it dripping on me....the last thing I see I think YEAH RIGHT...that won't work...it says use WHITE WINE...I think, hell I have used up my Mr. Clean erasers, I don't know what else to do...so I had an open bottle in the fridge...so I pour a bit into a bowl, get a toothbrush & scrub a spot...it really worked!! I have ONE spot that I can see but I have to look hard....so I guess I found a new cleaning product for taking out red wine stains!! Not that I want to ever have that happen again...I was up until midnight cleaning it all...but the purple polka dots that adorned my ceiling above the stove & kitchen island...are GONE!!
