....So I realized that it has been some time since I have last blogged, seems like summer barely started & now...it's over, we had a very enjoyable summer with lots of weekends on our boat meeting up with friends and time out at our family bayhouse on Harstine Island, lots of smores & bbq's.
Grace has started kindergarten & LOVES it..unfortunately we weren't able to get her in all day kindergarten at Roosevelt, she was "too smart" the all day program is structured for kids who NEED to learn, but she has been so use to her all-day structure of preschool, we decided to keep her at the private school she had been going to for preschool. She was very nervous on her first day, even though she's been going there for the past 3 years, this was a move to the BIG school & leaving behind her friends in preschool, having to make new ones!! She has been doing well, has had LOTS of homework for being in kindergarten!! So her class is kindergarten through 2nd grade, I think this year will be great for her transition to public schools next year, she is already doing great with her reading, she is reading at a 3rd to 4th grade level and is doing quite well with math! Now if we can just keep her excitement about school and the homework!
